Grief Counselor/Director
Welcome to Daylight Grief! While I'm grateful you found us, I'm also keenly aware of the grief that brought you here.
I've been in the field of mental health for the past 15 years. I am fully licensed in the state of New Jersey as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Throughout these years, grief remains my passion and helping others cope continues to be a privilege.
Through my own grief work, I've come to understand that we can experience both joy and pain when we allow ourselves to look deeply into our grief, pain and sorrow.
When you come for grief support at Daylight Grief, you will experience a non-judging, compassionate and calming environment. My goal is to meet you where you are in your grief and work with you to provide grief services. Through this work, you can begin reconnecting to yourself, your loved one and others. I work with those who have experienced sudden and traumatic loss as well as expected loss. In either experience, grief is highly personal and unique to each individual. That is something that remains in the forefront of my mind when working with others.
I've been trained on traumatic grief and hold a Compassionate Bereavement Care Certification through the MISS Foundation - https://www.missfoundation.org - and the Elisabeth Kübler-Ross Family Trust. I've also been trained as an End of Life Doula through the International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA) and hold a certificate in Thanatology from Hood College. Each of these trainings add knowledge and tools I readily use when working with clients.
When not working, you can find me outdoors hiking or on the water kayaking and paddle boarding. In those moments, I feel most connected to myself and loved ones no longer by my side. These tranquil moments bring forth the beauty of life no matter how difficult moments may appear. If not hiking or on the water, I may be finding a quiet space to meditate and practice mindfulness or on the hunt for the best ice cream shop.
